About

Janet is a professional pastry chef, writer, runner, and mom of two. After running competitively in college, she took a break from the sport to check out the post-collegiate bar scene in New York City, attend culinary school, work like crazy, and start a family with her husband, Mike. Through it all, running remained a hobby, though very much on the back burner. Entering her forties has brought about a renewed motivation for faster times. She lives on Bainbridge Island with her husband and two crazy kids, and attempts to fit in training and racing around the rest of the family’s activities.
